The Assistant Director for Campus Visits and Events will serve as an integral part of the management team in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation. This position will have a total of three direct and indirect reports and help manage a student staff of approximately 75 student staff members. Specific duties include:  primary responsibility for the planning, implementation, and logistics of over 60 Undergraduate Admissions, Orientation, Scholarship, and Enrollment Management on- and off-campus events per year; supervising the Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation reception area, which manages emails, phone calls, and visits from hundreds of students and their families; extensive and complex planning and coordinating with both internal and external vendors such as caterers, printers, transportation, technical support, and housekeeping services; serving as the primary liaison with faculty and staff throughout the University for all Admissions, Orientation, and Scholarship events which includes requesting and confirming presentations and services, securing facility reservations, completing work orders, and overseeing set-ups; closely monitoring the budget and procurement processes as related to the campus visit and event experience; utilizing a variety of systems for event management; understanding the university‚Äôs food procurement policies and obtaining necessary documentation for approval; and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's Degree

Three years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

Master's degree preferred

Five years relevant experience
