Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Advancement Operations, the incumbent will be part of the Operations team and will assist with numerous campus events in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  The incumbent will work behind the scenes and is integral to the invitation process and overall front-line guest experience.  Specific duties include: creating the invitation list from numerous databases; managing and tracking RSVPs; developing registration reports and statistics; creating name badges; coding attendee information into our complex database; tracking event expenses; researching and ordering supplies; submitting invoices for payment and prepare final expense documents; providing other support surrounding the actual day of an event, such as assisting at the registration area, helping with setting up and taking down; and performing other duties as assigned.   
Required Minimum Qualifications:

 Requires a Bachelor’s degree.  

Note:  Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

One to two years related experience with events preferred. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Google platforms, especially Excel, strongly desired. 

Experience with data, databases and systems in a complex work environment and the ability to work under pressure with a strong customer service orientation and attention to details desired.  

Familiarity with UMBC a plus.
