Under general supervision, a Landscape Technician performs technical work in the field of landscape maintenance, ornamental horticulture, and/or landscape construction.  Duties also include leading and providing training for landscape maintenance projects.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's  degree in horticulture, agronomy, or related field.  Additionally, two years of experience is required in landscape construction, agronomy, or landscape maintenance work.  Licensure by the State of Maryland as a Certified Pesticide Applicator or ability to acquire within 15 months of employment is also required.  A valid non-commercial Class C or equivalent driver's license is required.


NOTE:  Additional related experience and formal education may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
