Responsibilities:
  • Promote UMBC to the EduCo Sales Network
  • Coordinate communication between UMBC and EduCo

  • Participate in meetings with various UMBC staff, including staff in the Graduate School as well as the Division of Professional Studies and relay any pertinent information to the EduCo team as needed

  • Update and keep current the UMBC folder on the EduCo shared drop box

  • Participate in semi-weekly meetings with EduCo, VP North America

  • Assist in any on-campus admissions events as needed

  • Develop and manage a retention plan to track EduCo student success and encourage retention

  • Organize and deliver training with each overseas sales team monthly

  • Deliver testimonials and student success stories to the EduCo Sales Network weekly

  • Travel abroad as necessary to attend offshore EduCo sales events

  •  Shepherd prospective student applications through the admissions process to ensure qualified applicants enroll at UMBC
  • Run reports and initiate follow-up actions to ensure students' progress through the admissions process

  • Contact the EduCo Sales network to determine why students are not progressing and then develops and implements a plan to move the student to the next stage of the admission process

  • Develop a conversion process that engages prospective UMBC students with active students and faculty

  • Work closely with International Education Services (IES) to ensure that all visa processing is on track as well as assist with international student on boarding initiatives

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's Degree. Strong written and verbal skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Four to six years of experience working with international students and a familiarity with international admissions processes, and international student needs strongly preferred. Knowledge of higher education is preferred.

Ability to speak a second language is preferred, especially in one of the targeted regions of the world.  

Knowledge of PeopleSoft SA; demonstrated ability to handle large volumes of data, and synthesize information quickly; and demonstrated ability to speak to a wide range of individuals and groups are strongly preferred.
