Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is responsible for the administration of the university's federal, state and institutional financial aid programs.


As a member of the management team, the Assistant Director assists with the planning and administration of a full range of need-based financial aid programs.  This position supervises the Financial Aid Counselor staff and maintains policies and procedures related to awarding federal and institutional need based financial aid.  Specific duties include:  oversee the Federal Work Study program and assists in reconciliation of aid; present at financial aid information sessions; liaises with various partners on and off campus; counsels students and parents, reviews and processes financial aid applications; and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) is required. 


Preferred Qualifications: 


  • One year experience supervising
  • Two years of experience in federal, state, and/or institutional financial aid programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Image Now
