Responsibilities:

The incumbent will supervise the day to day activities of support staff, providing business management services for the IT and Financial Operation units. 

Specific duties include:

  • Manage the accounting team and campus card staff in a combination of business operations such as finance and technical support of the CS Gold Card platform, network components, and devices used across campus;
  • Create financial reports (CSGold, Excel Spreadsheets) to support the needs of the department;
  • Monitor off-campus vendor payments;
  • Support the dining services team, Chartwells, and make recommendations on how to improve customer service;
  • Perform a variety of advanced financial analyses to determine present and forecast financial stability of the department;
  • Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents;
  • Support the Assistant Director with assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the departments goals and objectives;
  • Ensure proper staffing levels for department;
  • Make hiring and employee discipline decisions;
  • Develop, manage, train, and evaluate employees;
  • Ensure compliance with Human Resource and Departmental policies and procedures;
  • Implement systems and controls to achieve financial performance as established by the departmental business plan and is aware of and addresses any changes in the financial climate that may affect the budget; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting, Information Technology or related field.

General understanding of GAAP Accounting Principles or previous work in an accounting office environment.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT)

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Two years experience working in a college/university or large dining environment
  • Previous/Current working knowledge of CS Gold
