The Office of Equity and Inclusion is responsible for providing, promoting and coordinating the university's core values of inclusive excellence, equity and diversity and ensuring university compliance with non-discrimination laws, regulations and policies. 

Responsibilities:

The Title IX Case and Training Manager will coordinate closely with the Title IX Coordinator and the Equity and Inclusion Director to meet with individuals who make a report and/or disclosure of discrimination and/or harassment. The incumbent will serve as the primary resource for managing and ensuring all parties, including students, faculty and staff, have access to the appropriate supportive campus and/or community resources and will coordinate the follow up and monitoring of the individuals for any additional supportive resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely updates to all parties who are involved in the investigative process.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to accurately reflect all correspondence, meeting notes, resource referrals and action items.
  • Build and maintain relationships with various campus departments to provide coordinated care and support as students, faculty and staff navigate the investigative process.
  • Proactively develop and implement programs, training and outreach initiatives at the university-wide level that educate and promote diversity, inclusion and equity as core values of the institution for broad audiences including students, faculty and staff. Training should include Title IX’s importance to the campus community, sexual misconduct prevention, Title IX responsibilities of individuals in the campus community, resources available to the campus community and consequences associated with misconduct and not reporting misconduct. 
  • Maintain training records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Equity and Inclusion or the Chief of Staff

  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and private topics and stressful situations in a professional, confidential, unbiased and consistent manner.
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field with two years experience in conflict management, case management and training.

Current and working knowledge sufficient to develop and deliver training related to issues, including but not limited to: Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ADEA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Clery Act and VAWA, and the current principles of access, equity and inclusion.

Proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and records management software.      

Preferred Qualifications: 

Strong administrative skills. Case management experience in a higher education or a related field.  Experience in EO/AA or Human Resource environment.
