Instrument Tower Technician - General Associate Other
The Joint Center for Earth Systems Technology is seeking an experienced technician with basic electronics skills to support an instrument station that is part of an international network supporting scientific validation of the Phytoplankton Aerosol Cloud and ocean Ecology (PACE) mission. Technician will be part of a team to service instruments on top of a 100-foot navigation tower situated in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay. Several 2-6 hours trips will occur per year. The tower is accessible by boat in fair weather only and team deployments cast off near Annapolis, marine transportation provided.
