MT Electrical Trades Supervisor II UMBC Campus
The MT Electrical Trades Supervisor II provides visionary, collaborative leadership to Facilities Management’s Electrical Shop. The supervisor will plan, organize, schedule and assign work for high voltage electricians and maintenance aides directly supporting over 4 million SF of facilities located on 512 acres. The incumbent has direct responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the daily work of internal UMBC electricians as well as external contractors in their performance of work on all equipment and systems and will develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and schedules for all systems and equipment including the high voltage distribution system, interior building systems, exterior roadway and parking lot lighting, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting systems and emergency generators. The incumbent also serves as the campus technical expert on electrical distribution matters and schedules, and coordinates and executes all electrical maintenance and repairs with in-house staff and contractor support.

This position staffs the Counseling Center's front desk as the first contact students have upon entering. The incumbent will greet and check in students, schedule appointments, load the electronic survey that the student needs for their visit, scan insurance and UMBC red identification cards and other documentation, answers telephone, takes messages for counselors and the psychiatrist, communicates with all necessary parties regarding students' needs and serves as back-up when the Administrative Assistant II is not in the office.
