The College of Engineering and Information Technology's (COEIT) Dean's Office and the Department of Engineering and Computing Education Programs (ECEP)

Position Overview:

The College of Engineering and Information Technology is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to provide general administrative support to both the Dean's Office and the Engineering and Computing Education Programs. The position will report directly to the College's Chief of Staff and provide support in the areas of front desk support, maintenance requests, inventory control, course scheduling, travel arrangements, social media, hiring support and scheduling.

A hybrid telework schedule may be available. 


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the point of contact for visitors and guests of the COEIT Dean’s Office
  • Hiring support for ECEP Teaching Fellows and Teaching Assistants
  • Scheduling of classes for ECEP, including room and technology assignments
  • Administer ECEP’s social media account, website and other informational documents
  • Primary contact for inventory control within COEIT Dean’s Office and ECEP, to include ensuring all capital and sensitive inventory is tagged and accounted for and conducting routine physical inventory in compliance with University policy
  • Serve as ECEP's primary contact for travel requests and reimbursements as needed
  • Purchasing and travel for the COEIT Dean's Office and ECEP
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three years experience providing administrative support

Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Associate's Degree
  • Higher education experience
