Retriever Integrated Health
Retriever Integrated Health (RIH) brings together UMBC’s Health Services and Counseling Center in a collaborative, holistic approach to support student well-being and academic success. Our interdisciplinary team includes compassionate administrative staff and skilled professionals from a wide range of fields—medicine, nursing, psychiatry, psychology, counseling, social work, health education, dietetics, acupuncture, and massage therapy. Together, we provide comprehensive, student-centered care designed to help the UMBC community thrive.
The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist to provide outpatient massage therapy services to our campus community. This position continues a valued tradition of over 20 years of therapeutic care for our students, faculty, and staff. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled professional who is eager to practice in a diverse, supportive, and student-centered environment.

Responsibilities: |
- Performs massage therapy to patients according to the principles and practices of massage therapy.
- Works with each patient to develop a treatment plan and strategy based on their individual needs.
- Collaborates with other care team members, acts as a resource for the clinical staff and providers to increase awareness and knowledge of acupuncture and integrative health
- Promotes health and well-being, and clinic services with participation at campus outreach events and through various media materials.
- Provides massage therapy services at other UMBC departmental events.

Required Minimum Qualifications: |
- Candidates must maintain licensure with the Maryland Department of Health, Board of Massage Therapy
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Must be able to practice independently.
- Must be able to document treatments in our electronic health record.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Experience working in a higher education setting
- History of work within a multidisciplinary and/or integrated healthcare setting
- Demonstrated experience and interest in providing outreach, programs, and/or education

Salary: |
Hourly rate: $34 - $44 hourly, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Part-time, not to exceed 19.75 hours/week. Hours are limited to if/when clients are scheduled. |
