Position Overview:

This position will provide business services to the Department of Psychology through management of the State budget, including graduate student budget, self support projects and faculty start up projects.

Telework:

A hybrid telework schedule may be available.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide business services to the Department of Psychology through management of the State budget, including the graduate student budget; self-support projects, and faculty start up projects
  • Advisor to Chair on budget decisions, expense and income forecasting
  • Provide funding scenarios, problem solving suggestions
  • Provide monthly and quarterly updates on all accounts
  • Approve travel and travel funding requests
  • Vet and approve student special funding requests
  • Approve all purchase and reimbursement requests through PAW and the PSYC RT system; serve as payroll approver; review and approve payroll documents and bi-weekly time entry serve as Pcard and Dcard supervisor
  • Prepare and maintain Graduate Assistant master spreadsheet and advise staff when letters, amendments or forms need to be prepared
  • Prepare adjunct contracts as well as adjunct contractual forms; prepare journal entries
  • Advise payroll preparer when payroll retros and DBEs are necessary and ensure they are entered timely
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Strong facility with Excel
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Business coursework or degree
  • State budget experience
  • Two years of higher education experience or Master's degree/coursework in a business field.

Salary:

Salary: $60,000 - $67,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
