Position Overview:

The Executive Coordinator supports the Vice Provost for Professional and Extended Studies and is responsible for managing activities within the Vice Provost office, which includes communications, workflow, providing support for partnership development and stewardship, inquiries, and/or other related information. The Executive Coordinator plays a key role in providing an inclusive, knowledgeable, and largely independent administration of (but not limited to) the Vice Provost’s time, calendar, goals, record-keeping, technology needs, and project portfolio. This individual serves the unique responsibility of channeling the Vice Provost’s efforts towards the larger business strategies through application of strategic thinking, organizational and time management, and communication skills, exercised with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

Specific duties include:

  • Strategic time, event and calendar optimization as the project manager and program planner for the Office of the Vice Provost.  Uses initiative and independent judgement to coordinate facilitation, logistics, vendors, and all details about events and meetings hosted by the Office of the Vice Provost.
  • Operations administration and supervision to include policy application, guideline and procedure drafting, correspondence drafting, and records management.  Provide recommendations to the Vice Provost on administrative and operations functions and oversight.
  • Creates reporting using complex and/or sensitive data to assist the Vice Provost in decision making.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Vice Provost and other university administrators, faculty, staff and various departments and units.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree
  • Six years of support experience, two years of which was providing primary administrative support to a key administrator. 
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Applications, Video Conferencing (Webex, Zoom, etc). 
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. 
  • Ability to interact with a broad range of internal and external constituencies, including senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Administrative experience within Higher Education/collegiate setting
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to relate industry goals to the competitive landscape of an institution/organization

Salary:

Salary: $79,900 - $85,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
