Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Associate Provost for Financial Management, this position will be a member of the Office of the Provost and will support general Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for Academic Affairs and university operations.  The incumbent will provide complex financial analysis, monitor financial performance, develop and manage financial models, prepare reporting, and maintain forecasts on financial positions of units within academic affairs.  The position is the direct support and subject matter expert for a range of department heads/leads within academic affairs for all financial and fiscal manners related to primarily non-sponsored activities.

Telework:

A hybrid telework schedule may be available. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Reconcile assigned accounts, create reports to be shared with Department Heads which include a variance analysis and projection on expenditure to be used as a primer for strategic decision making.
  • Develop a forecast each unit so Department Heads can better manager available funds (or deficits).
  • Analyze financial performance and trends, report findings, and make recommendations and projections based on findings.
  • Create financial reports, dashboard, FADs customer reporting, presentations, and other materials that are provided to campus leadership and unit stakeholders both cyclically and ad-hoc.
  • Review and approve transaction items which impact assigned budgets (i.e. new hires, purchases, travel requests, journal entries, budget amendments, etc.).
  • Assist in the management of position control for the Office of the Provost.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of progressive experience in payroll, budgeting, financial analysis, reconciliation, financial reporting, forecasting, and other related accounting/finance/analytical responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 5 years of progressive experience in a related field

Salary:

Salary: $75,000 - $84,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
