Position Overview: |
The Cardiac Clinical Coordinator and Scan lab Instructor is responsible for updating and teaching the scan lab course curriculum and managing the clinical course curriculum. As Clinical Coordinator, the candidate manages all aspects of the cardiac clinical portion of the program, ensuring the program maintains an effective and relevant clinical curriculum, and managing the students’ clinical rotations, including ensuring equitable clinical experiences among all cardiac students, maintaining relationships with the volunteer clinical instructors, assessing student progress, and maintaining all clinical records. As Scan Lab Instructor, the candidate is the psychomotor skill expert for the Cardiac specialty, teaching all protocols, scanning skills and techniques in alignment with the NEC and CAAHEP Standards as well as current clinical practices. In addition, this role will work with the Concentration Coordinator to coordinate the psychomotor with the didactic training, assess student progress, and maintain all clinical records. |

Required Minimum Qualifications: |
Requires A.S. /A.A. degree and a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field. ARDMS or CCI credential in the appropriate specialty (RDCS AE or RCS), with active status. Candidates must possess excellent computer skills and be competent in teaching academic and clinical skills. They should have documented experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, and student guidance, coupled with knowledge of educational theories and techniques. Additionally, applicants need strong professional development skills, good standing in professional organizations, and current CME status. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
B.S. /B.A. degree and three to five years full-time clinical experience. Previous teaching or clinical instructorship experience is also highly valued, as is familiarity with online platforms and software like Blackboard and Trajecsys. |

Salary: $69,000 to $77,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. |

Lab instruction requires standing and walking for long periods of time as well as moving/rearranging scan lab equipment of 100-350 pounds (on wheels). Clinical coordination requires traveling to clinical sites and walking long distances to the sonography departments. |
