| Position Overview: |
The AV Design & Engineering Project Specialist will serve a vital role in the upgrade and upkeep of classrooms and meetings spaces on UMBC's campus. This position will serve as the primary installation technician and site foreman for in-house audio/visual projects ensuring the proper and safe installation of equipment. The Specialist will also assist in the training, supervision, and mentorship of AV Installation Student Technicians to ensure a safe working environment on job sites. Furthermore the Specialist will assist in the project management and design of select projects including classrooms, meeting spaces, and digital signage. The work this role accomplishes will directly impact the quality and efficiency of educational experiences for both instructors and students alike as DoIT continues to improve the Audio/Visual technology on campus. |

Salary: $66,000-74,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. |
