Position Overview: UMBC Athletics is currently accepting applications for the position of Coordinator, Athletic Facilities & Event. The position of Athletics Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for athletic event management including: home events, game management, outside groups, and rentals.
Responsibilities:

This position will assist with general athletic facility repairs, training, and supervising event staff will be a large part of this role. This position will require clerical work and coordinating logistical needs for visiting teams pertaining to practices, parking, and competitions. Assisting with coordinating operations meetings and project planning will be part of this role. This position will assist in updating the athletics master calendar and responsible for all areas of event management including: set up/break down, security, outside services, deliveries, signage, etc.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One year of Athletic/Recreation, event management or relevant experience. 
  • General knowledge of NCAA guidelines and regulations
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience related to NCAA event management or venue management.
  • Knowledge and execution experience of various athletic events as they pertain to emergency action plans, officials, conference rules, visiting team liaison and overall point of contact for the athletic event. 
  • Ability to manage game day operations.
  • Experience with overseeing event security, ushers, and event set up and break down.

Salary: Salary starts at $50,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
