The Department of Human Resources and Strategic Talent Management is the campus resource center for providing professional services and information in the areas of employment, benefits, compensation and classification, training and development, payroll, employee relations, policy, administration, and human resources data management and reporting.

Position Overview:
|
The Specialist will have responsibilities in Talent Acquisition and Classification & Compensation including assisting campus partners with process, posting requisitions, reviewing candidates, and conducting job analysis.

Telework:
|
A hybrid telework schedule may be available. (Possible remote work of two days per week after training.)

Responsibilities:
|
- Provides support to campus partners regarding hiring as well as classification requests, answering questions and guiding them through the process.
- Ensures policies and procedures are being followed and that the department has provided the needed information to conduct the analysis and/or start the hiring process.
- Conducts initial review, job analysis, and job evaluation of new, vacant, and filled position change requests including reclassifications, equity adjustments, in-grade adjustments, and salary range update and confirmations. Develops written reports of findings and makes recommendations to Class/Comp Manager regarding classification and compensation request determinations based upon research conducted and the best available balance of evidence.
- Reviews, edits, and approves job requisitions. Verifies position data/position description approval, verifies collective bargaining status, assists in administration of background check, sources job posting, reviews ad copies, and provides ad sourcing urls.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
|
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years of human resources or related experience (preferably in talent acquisition or classification/ compensation)
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience in database and spreadsheet tools
|
Preferred Qualifications:
|
- Experience with job analysis and job evaluation
- Experience with business processes in a Human Capital Management System
- Experience creating documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures and User guides
|

Salary:
|
Salary: $59,000 - $66,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
