Responsibilities:

This position will be a member of the College’s Shared Services Center, within the Sponsored Projects Team. The incumbent will be responsible for reconciling, managing, reporting and analyzing sponsored projects budgets within the College of Engineering and Information technology with supervision.

Specific duties include:  reconciling and reporting on all research related accounts and activities within the College, including sponsored, Self-Support, foundation and all other research accounts; reconciling monthly accounts; making journal entries, payroll transfers, and budget revision requests; sub-award management; generating reports for PIs, forecasting/projections; reviewing project financial status with PIs per the frequency they’ve requested; assisting OCGA in Grant Closeout processes for assigned projects; RT management and transaction approvals for all research accounts; facilitating the campus’ effort report certification process within the college; ad hoc analysis as requested by leadership and/or PIs; and performing other duties as assigned

This position is an entry level position and has career opportunity for growth to Specialist and Senior Specialist

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field required.

Preferred Qualifications:  One to three years of progressive experience in budgeting, financial analysis, reconciliation, financial reporting, forecasting, and other related accounting/finance/analytical responsibilities, experience with grant administration.
