Position Overview:

The Payroll Processing Associate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of human resources and payroll transactions utilizing PeopleSoft, DocuSign, etc.

Telework:

A hybrid telework schedule may be available.

Responsibilities:

Processing of human resources and payroll transactions.

  • Review and processes contract renewals
  • Reviews I-9 documentation
  • Reviews tax withholding preference forms
  • Reviews New hire and rehires for Contingent employees including contract review and background check

Biweekly Payroll process.

  • Prepares and distributes biweekly paychecks
  • Process stop payments, check cancellations, reissued and voided checks
  • Runs queries for check distribution

Manages Dual Employment compliance process including incoming Dual Employment request.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Four years of payroll experience, two years of which must include knowledge of State and Federal payroll regulations.

Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Four years of payroll experience.
  • This position requires a self-starter who takes direction well but can also work independently.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, and in writing, with a wide range of constituents.
  • Must be able to recognize and know the purpose of standardized forms required for payroll (I-9, W-4, etc.), perform accurate math computations and remain poised and courteous under pressure, handle a high level of confidential & sensitive payroll issues, and be a team player with a strong sense of ownership & commitment to excellence.
