Responsibilities: |
Specific duties include:
- Using established procedures to process submissions for the institutional repository, ScholarWorks@UMBC by using specified methods and workflows to identify, acquire, and prepare the submissions.
- Determining if works are scope for the repository, if works are published, which versions can be added, and if a version that can be added is available, adding the work to Zotero along with any elements that the publisher requires be included with the submission.
- Moving sets of works from Zotero to spreadsheets using a set procedure.
- Finding information to complete load spreadsheets and copying and pasting it into the spreadsheets, running python programs to complete some elements, and determining the format, version, and publisher of works.
- Checking loaded works for characters that didn’t load correctly and fixing them.
- Checking student assistant’s work.

Required Minimum Qualifications: |
- High School Diploma or GED
|
Preferred Qualifications: |
- Two years of experience directly related to the primary duties of the position such as data entry.
- Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; to work independently and exercise initiative in applying rules, procedures and instructions; ability to learn and apply procedures; attention to detail.

Salary: |
Hourly Salary Range: Minimum: $18.22 to Maximum: $21.40 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This is a Full-Time position (40 hrs./wk.) Monday-Friday. A Hybrid telework agreement might be available after completing training. |
