UMBC Transit provides extensive fixed route bus service to the UMBC campus and surrounding communities. Primary locations serviced include: Technology Research Center (TRC), UMBC South Campus - BWtech South, Freshmen satellite parking lot, BWI MARC/Amtrak train station, Halethorpe MARC train station, downtown Arbutus, Catonsville, Baltimore Inner Harbor and more. This service extends to weekends with additional access to Route 40 (Baltimore National Pike) business district (Wal-Mart, international grocery markets, various shopping centers) and Arundel Mills Mall. |

Position Overview: |
Reporting to the Associate Director of Transit in the Division of Student Affairs, the Assistant Director for Safety & Training will oversee UMBC Transit's Safety and Training Program for all drivers including new student bus operators, and provide programmatic instruction for the current driving staff to ensure consistent adherence to UMBC Transit policies and procedures. |

Responsibilities: |
Supervises the safety program for UMBC Transit and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policy. Responsibilities include all or most of those listed below.

Salary: |
Salary: $75,500- $85,000 depending on qualifications and experience. The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. |
