The Coordinator of Undergraduate Recruitment & Program Pathways is a critical member of the UMBC-Shady Grove Administrative Team focusing on the recruitment of prospective transfer students while providing undergraduate applicants guidance and support through the admission and enrollment funnel. The Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall pre- transfer advising to prospective students as a means to help our prospective students develop an academic plan of action for transfer into their undergraduate program of choice. Specific duties include strategic planning and implementation of recruitment strategies, programming, and events as well as application tracking and support.
The Coordinator also acts as an advocate for transfer student support at UMBC and reports to the Assistant Director for Undergraduate Recruitment and Retention. In addition to the above, the Coordinator will provide direct case management support to prospective and current students in UMBC pathway programs at each stage of their academic journey, specifically those students and families engaged in the STEM Ready Pathway Program. This work includes the development of collaborative pathway initiatives between Maryland K-12 school systems, community colleges, and UMBC. The Coordinator will recruit and assist STEM Ready students in accessing career and academic pathways in focused degree programs while developing academic training, career readiness skills, work-based learning experiences, industry credentials, and degree attainment. The incumbent will build partnerships with employers to promote and explore job-shadow experiences, high school apprenticeships, college-level internships, mentoring, and job attainment.

Responsibilities: |
Specific duties include:
• Recruitment of prospective transfer students while providing undergraduate applicants guidance and support through the admission and enrollment funnel
• Provide overall pre-transfer advising to prospective students as a means to help prospective students develop an academic plan of action for transfer into their undergraduate program of choice
• Strategic planning and implementation of recruitment strategies, programming, and events as well as application tracking and support
• Provide direct case management support to prospective and current students in UMBC pathway programs at each stage of their academic journey, specifically those students and families engaged in the STEM Ready Pathway Program

• Assist with data collection and analysis with Salesforce and web tools. Track all activities and student progress as they relate to programmatic outcome goals. Create and administer assessment and evaluation tools and reporting processes that are shared with institutional and regional stakeholders
• Other duties as related to UMBC at USG undergraduate recruitment and pathway programming and the division’s mission

Required Minimum Qualifications: |
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Two years experience in higher education
- Experience in undergraduate admissions or advising
- Must be a current regular or Contingent II UMBC and/or USM Shady Grove employee.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Admissions, Counseling, Student Services, Human Resources, Business or a closely related field.
- Experience in advising, transfer support work, and program management.
- Customer Service experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic tools to manage data reporting and analysis.

Salary: |
Salary: $61,000 - $69,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
