UMBC Retriever Integrated Health is a multidisciplinary team providing health promotion, counseling, medical and complementary health services to the students, staff and faculty at UMBC.

Responsibilities:

Our team is in search of a licensed acupuncturist to provide outpatient acupuncture therapy to UMBC’s campus population. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Performs acupuncture therapy to patients according to the principles and practices of acupuncture.

  • Works with each patient to develop a treatment plan and strategy based on their individual needs.

  • Collaborates with other care team members, acts as a resource for the clinical staff and providers to increase awareness and knowledge of acupuncture and integrative health.

  • Promotes Retriever Integrated Health services at campus outreach events and assists with the development of other promotional media.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Candidates must be licensed with the Maryland Department of Health, Board of Acupuncture.

  • Must have a minimum 3 years experience.

  • Must be able to practice independently.

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.

  • History of work within a multidisciplinary and/or integrated healthcare setting.

  • Demonstrated experience and interest providing outreach, programs, and/or education.

  • Additional training, certification and licensure to provide other complementary health care such as massage, ayurveda, herbal medicine.

Salary: Hourly rate: $38-$44/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience. 
Hours: Part-time, not to exceed 19.75 hours/week.  Hours limited to if/when clients are scheduled.
