Position Overview: |
This role serves as the manager of the HR actions for OIA and its 11 departments, managing purchases , advising and initiating purchase orders, paying invoices, journal entries, Rstars, recovering funds, and allocating costs related to split funded positions or shared transactions with the State and Foundation. This position is responsible for producing department expenditure reports for State accounts or guiding the business specialist in those processes, and manages the purchase and allocation of equipment and guides others in that process.

Telework: |
A hybrid telework schedule may be available. This position requires in person work.

Responsibilities: |
- Manages HR, hiring, payroll, onboarding and personnel duties for the division in a fast paced environment.

Manages financial transactions including purchase orders, invoicing, payment requests, credit card purchases, and reimbursements.

Manages, trains and oversees Business Specialists, approving transactions and guiding work.
- Works closely with the SR Foundation Specialist to ensure business support of the department and its 9 directors and other members of leadership.
- Monitors department state budget expenditures.

Required Minimum Qualifications: |
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Accounting, HR or related field
- Four years experience managing multiple business functions
- Ability to work in a highly confidential environment (A confidentiality agreement must be signed upon hire.)

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Two years of business experience in a fundraising or foundation environment
- Three years of supervisory experience
- SHRM & PHR or other HR certifications
- Experience in higher education, or prior experience working at UMBC, USM or State of Maryland
|

Salary: |
Salary: $82,000 - $93,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
