Position Overview:

This position will support the recruitment efforts of the Graduate School and the Graduate Student & Postdoctoral Development unit.

Telework:

A hybrid telework schedule may be available. 

Responsibilities:

The Recruitment Specialist is the primary person to drive enrollments to UMBC's Graduate Programs. Attending events; virtual, domestic, and international, building out our CRM functionality in partnership with DoIT, advising our Marketing Dept. and helping oversee our Front Desk which regularly interfaces with the public. 

The Recruitment Specialist will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to report on these activities' success, and is expected to recommend activities to improve Graduate applications and yield.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1 year experience in administrative staff work

Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Any post-baccalaureate coursework
  • 3 years of experience in Graduate Recruitment or a related role
