The Cardiac Clinical Coordinator and Scan lab Instructor is responsible for updating and teaching the scan lab course curriculum and managing the clinical course curriculum. As Clinical Coordinator, the candidate manages all aspects of the cardiac clinical portion of the program, ensuring the program maintains an effective and relevant clinical curriculum, and managing the students’ clinical rotations, including ensuring equitable clinical experiences among all cardiac students, maintaining relationships with the volunteer clinical instructors, assessing student progress, and maintaining all clinical records. As Scan Lab Instructor, the candidate is the psychomotor skill expert for the Cardiac specialty, teaching all protocols, scanning skills and techniques in alignment with the NEC and CAAHEP Standards as well as current clinical practices. In addition, this role will work with the Concentration Coordinator to coordinate the psychomotor with the didactic training, assess student progress, and maintain all clinical records.
