Responsibilities:

The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) provides technical development, deployment, analysis, and support for UMBC's PeopleSoft ERP applications. The Specialist-Technical Analyst will work in DoIT’s Business Systems Group, be responsible for developing activities, and supporting the Campus Student Administration System. 

The Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the development meets university requirements for functionality, usability and interoperability with existing and new web applications. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: handling end user support; designing and developing integrations between the PeopleSoft System and other core university enterprise systems; designing and developing special purpose applications to address institutional needs; creating additional PeopleSoft applications as needed; and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or related field and experience in Information Technology, web application development, and/or web application deployment, preferably in higher education and in a PeopleSoft environment.

The position requires experience with PeopleTools that includes PeopleCode, page development along with the ability to troubleshoot production issues.
