Position Overview: |
The International Recruitment Coordinator supports the University’s efforts to identify, recruit, admit, and enroll qualified international students in all of its academic programs through student and partner outreach, marketing communications, and other recruitment activities. Part of the Center for Global Engagement (CGE), this position will work closely with multiple campus stakeholders and external partners to achieve the University’s strategic international enrollment goals through participation in a variety of international recruitment activities and events. This position reports to the Assistant Director of International Recruitment.

Responsibilities: |
- Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners, including vendors, international student placement agencies, EducationUSA advisors, scholarship bodies, and international school counselors. Communicate with recruitment partners to convert prospective students to enrollments.
- Identify, recruit, and communicate with prospective international student applicants in an accurate and timely manner; Provide guidance, promotional information, and assistance to prospective students, families, and alumni that are associated with the recruitment process. Maintain best practices in international student recruitment and admissions.
- Represent UMBC (virtually with some in-person) both domestically and internationally at international recruitment fairs, webinars, training sessions, events, conferences, and associated activities.
- Collaborate with campus units to develop, create, and update multi-channel communications and marketing materials optimized for international recruitment and enrollment, including print materials, web and digital assets, social media, and other content.
- Assist with the hosting of existing and prospective international recruitment partners and vendors for campus visits and other meetings.
- Assist with the implementation and enhancement of international recruitment partnerships.
- Track, analyze and report data pertaining to international recruitment, admissions and enrollment trends.

Required Minimum Qualifications: |
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
- Interest in working with people from different cultural, academic, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Possession of/ability to attain a valid passport and travel internationally
This position will be required to travel within the U.S. and abroad. Must be able to work some nontraditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Master's degree
- One or more years of experience working in marketing, admissions, international recruitment, or international education in a higher education context
- Professional working proficiency in one or more languages in addition to English
- Knowledge of Salesforce or other customer relationship management platforms
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft or other student information systems

Salary: |
Salary: $56,000 - 63,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
